Product use and characteristics:

In food grade industry---MAP’s function as following,

1. Leavening agent

Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is used as a leavening agent in dough or baked goods, which can produce carbon dioxide gas to expand the pores in the dough, making the food soft and loose. This effect is particularly evident in baked goods, such as bread, cakes, etc.

2. Acidity regulator

Diammonium phosphate can adjust the pH of food, making it more acidic. Under highly acidic conditions, the growth rate of bacteria and fungi will slow down, thus providing a certain preservative effect. In addition, it can prevent oxidation and discoloration of some vegetables and fruits, maintaining the color and taste of food.

3. Nutritional supplements

Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is rich in phosphorus and nitrogen, which are very important to plants and humans. Therefore, in some cases, diammonium hydrogen phosphate can be used as a nutritional fortifier, for example, adding it to crispy pork can increase the nutritional value.

For technical grade---MAP can be used as water soluble fertilizer which is used for nutrition and foliar spraying fertilization of all crops. Recommended for use is at the beginning of the growing season when phosphorus availability is critical for root establishment and flowering. It can be mixed with other fertilizers to meet the nutritional needs of crops throughout the growth cycle. MAP contains 73% of total nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients which is the basic raw material for N, P, and K compound fertilizers. It is suitable for the preparation of mixed fertilizers and can be used to produce liquid fertilizers.
